How are students selected?
Students are selected through an equal opportunity lottery.

If one of my children is selected
in the lottery, are my remaining children automatically accepted?
Yes, provided that there is
space in the grade for the child.
If my child is not selected,
do they remain on the waiting list?
Yes, they will remain on
the waiting list for the remainder of the school year. Periodically,
spaces may become available in a grade. The next student on the
waiting list is then contacted and notified of the opening.
Do you accept ESE, ESOL and
children with special needs?
Yes, providing the special
needs can be met at Dayspring Academy.
What time does school start and
end?
School beings promptly at
8:15 am and ends at 2:45pm for Elementary and 8:00 am through 3:16 pm
for the Middle School.
Does Dayspring Academy’s calendar
coincide with Pasco County School District’s calendar?
Yes, Dayspring students
will attend school and have the same vacations as the other Pasco
County Schools.
What grades do you offer?
We have two classes of
every grade Kindergarten through 8th
grade.
What is your enrollment school
wide?
Our enrollment is
approximately 410 students.
What is the Dress Code?
K-5:
White
or light blue polo shirts.
Navy blue UNIFORM
bottoms: pants, skirts (knee length), skorts (knee length), or
jumpers. Please wear comfortable, closed toe shoes.
6-8:
White or light blue
polo shirts.
Navy blue or Khaki
UNIFORM bottoms: pants, skirts, skorts, or
jumpers. Please wear
comfortable closed toe shoes.
Where can I buy uniforms?
Uniforms with the Dayspring
logo on them can be purchased directly from www.frenchtoast.com. All other
uniform tops or bottoms may be purchased from Target, Sears, JC Penny’s,
Beall’s or Burlington Coat Factory. Tops and bottoms must be uniform
