At Dayspring Academy, we are limited to the number of students who may attend.  Due to the number of registration applications we receive each year, student selection is based on a lottery system.  

Lottery Procedures:

• When applications are received, a lottery ticket is attached to each application. 
• The duplicate lottery tickets are placed in a drawing for each grade.  
• Board members anonymously draw the duplicate tickets, and place them consecutively on a waiting list for their respective grades.
• Lottery tickets are then matched up with applicants, and all open positions are filled with applicants in the order in which they were drawn.
• All remaining applicants are placed on a waiting list for the remainder of the year. 

An orientation session will be held in February 2011 for families who wish to learn more about Dayspring Academy.  Lottery registration for the 2011/2012 school year will be during the month of March 2011.  A lottery registration form may be obtained at both campuses, and can be returned any time during March.  Lottery forms will not be accepted after March 31, 2011 at 4:00 PM.  The lottery drawing will be held at the beginning of April, followed by notification letters advising status to each applicant.  After March 31st, all names will be placed at the bottom of the waiting list.   If you have questions regarding registration, please contact Natalie Fernandez at nfernandez@dsa2000.org.
